2/28/12 — Stephen “Steph” Wayne Baker

 

 

Stephen “Steph” Wayne Baker, age 44, peacefully passed from this life on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at his home in Morrison, Tennessee.

 

He had been employed with Bridgestone Tire, Inc. in Morrison, TN for over 15 years. Steph Wayne, as most of his family and friends knew him, was a member of Local #1155 of the United Steel Workers of America in Morrison, TN and a member of the First Baptist Church in Manchester, TN.

 

He will be fondly remembered as one who loved cooking, traveling, especially in Paris, France and other European countries, reading and was in the process of writing  a book.

 

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, David Wayne Baker who passed away in 2008.

 

He is survived by his parents, Joe and Brenda Baker Todd of Morrison, TN; grandmother, Ruth Henley Baker of Hillsboro, TN; aunt, Robin Baker Boyett and her husband Ronnie of Hillsboro and sons, Eric Boyett (Jamie) and children, Kaylyn and Collen of Hillsboro  and   David Boyett (Laura) and children, Chase and Amber  of Hillsboro; brothers, Joseph Todd (Kelly) and son, Matthew of McMinnville, TN  and Jason Todd (Melanie) and children, Drake and Cadi of McMinnville, TN; special friend, Jon (Candy) Blankenship and children, Grant and Bella of McMinnville, TN; a host of other relatives and friends; and his beloved dog “Bisket” who is also known by some people as “Jack Rat”.

 

Visitation will be on Monday, February 27, 2012 from 5:00 until 9:00 P.M.

 

The Funeral Service will be conducted on Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. from the Chapel of Central Funeral Home with Dr. Brenton Cox officiating.

 

Burial will follow at the Rutledge Hill Community Church Cemetery.
