All dog and cat owners are urged to have dogs and cats over three (3) months of age vaccinated in accordance with the Rabies Control Laws passed in the State Legislature. It is unlawful for any person to own, keep or harbor any dog or cat six (6) months of age or older which has not been vaccinated against rabies by a licensed veterinarian.
The Coffee County Health Department recommends that you call and make an appointment with the Veterinarian of your choice to have your dog or cat vaccinated. All participating Coffee County Veterinarians will be administering rabies vaccinations during the entire month of April at a discounted rate of only $8.00 per shot. Owners will be issued an Official Certificate and Tags for 2012.
